About Us

Ennui Ennui is a Vancouver-based store that came to be in 2021 during the pandemic when everything changed. The pandemic stirred up a lot of emotions for a lot of people, us included, and we're all still going through it. Partners in life, and partners in business - Moire and David started feeling feelings of detachment and anxiety as they navigated this new world. Ennui means many things - "the feeling of listlessness and dissatisfaction arising from a lack of occupation or excitement", "lethargic disappointment", "a preoccupation with the fundamental emptiness of existence", etc. which a lot of us felt during quarantine. If that feeling hasn't really gone away yet, that's okay too.  

Ennui Ennui lets you express yourself however you see fit. No one can be defined and placed into a box, and honestly, neither can we. However you're feeling today, and tomorrow, and the next day....we got you.

Embrace your sadness because no one is happy every day. Remember, there is no happiness without sadness. Also, if you're feeling unhappy, that means you care. And that's something to smile about. (Or don't. That's also cool.)
